Hi All,
Here are some updates from yesterdays' meeting:
Start time on Saturday is 9:00 AM. The contest kicks off at 1PM so we should have enough time to set everything up.
We decided to go with 2A. Conditions have been poor lately that it is likely only 2 bands will be open at any given time, this combined with our small number of operators made us decide to go with 2A.
1st HF station will be in the Boca Firedeparment's van, parked East of Parking Garage II.
Radio: Icom IC-756 - Ron, W2DO
20/15/10 Antenna: Tribander from T6
80/40 Antenna: Dipole from Van (It will have to be tuned / extended to include 80)
Logging: Sjaak, W4RIS
Generator: Build in to van
2nd HF station on 4th floor of Parking Garage II:
Radio: Icom IC-7300 - Sjaak, W4RIS
20/15/10 Antenna: Tribander from Lew, K4LEW
80/40 Antenna: Lew, K4LEW
Lew's antenna is 40M only so we should make every effort to make sure that the antenna on the van can do 80M.
Logging: Sjaak, W4RIS
Generator: Shirley
VHF Station:
Radio: Kenwood TS-60 ?
6M Antenna: Lew, K4LEW
Logging: Sjaak, W4RIS
PSK-31 / RTTY
I will setup the 2 HF logging computers to be able to do PSK-31 and RTTY. PSK-31 and RTTY count double like CW does. I should have all the equipment to connect to Ron's IC-756 and the IC-7300 connects directly to the computer.
Please let me know of any additions / changes.
Sjaak
